Taken 2 Lands at 20th Century Fox

20th Century Fox will distribute the upcoming Untitled Taken Sequel in North America, which is being produced by EuropaCorp. The studio also landed most of the international territories as well, although EuroCorp will handle distribution for France, Germany, parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Benelux, territories which were already pre-sold.

Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace will reprise their roles from Taken, which became a surprise hit in early 2009, earning $145 million at the domestic box office, from just a $25 million production budget.

Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) will direct the Untitled Taken Sequel from a screenplay by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.

It isn't known when production will start on the Untitled Taken Sequel.

Untitled Taken Sequel comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace. The film is directed by Olivier Megaton.
