It isn't known what role the actress will play, although she joins a cast that already includes Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, William Fichtner, and Wagner Moura.
Neill Blomkamp is directing Elysium from his own screenplay. Story details have been kept under wraps, although it is believed to be set in outer space and feature the same allegorical tones as Neill Blomkamp's first movie, District 9.
It isn't known when production will start on Elysium yet.
Elysium comes to theaters March 1st, 2013 and stars Sharlto Copley, Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura, William Fichtner, Alice Braga. The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp.
