The film is based on the true story of former New Jersey heavyweight boxer and womanizer Chuck Wepner who boxed 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali and inspired Sylvester Stallone to pen Rocky.
Jeff Feuerzeig co-penned the script with Jerry Stahl.
