Pam Grier Takes Skinny Dip

They took her bikini. They took her virginity. She took her revenge!

Director Frankie Latina's revenge thriller ode to trashy exploitation flicks Skinny Dip has gotten a little crazier. As this comedic take on I Spit on Your Grave moves into the Cannes Marketplace, it also picks up 70s blaxploitation Queen Pam Grier, 80s artifact Brigitte Nielsen, and 90s direct-to-video prince Michael Madsen, giving Skinny Dip a nice sheen of authenticity.

Danny Trejo, who made the Grindhouse spin-off Machete, and porn star-turned serious actress Sasha Grey have been attached to Skinny Dip for a while. The story follows a victimized woman who seeks revenge on those who did her wrong while wearing a stolen police uniform.

Norman Lasca is responsible for the screenplay. Here is what Frankie Latina had to say about this upcoming project.

"I grew up on and have always loved the films of the 70's and 80's. They contain, in my opinion, some of the most powerful female performances in cinema history. Skinny Dip will draw from a new, equally powerful and provocative actress in Sasha Grey. Combining the wild, exploitative sensibility of Grindhouse films with strong female characters drawn from the present - these are the kinds of films I make and want to see."

Skinny Dip does not have a set production schedule at this time.

Skinny Dip comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Pam Grier, Michael Madsen, Brigitte Nielsen, Sasha Grey, Danny Trejo. The film is directed by Frankie Latina.
